POWERPOINT SLIDES

In North America the term co-operative education, is used to describe a curriculum that is designed to integrate learning from academic study and work placement and other forms of learning experience that prepare students for professional work environments. The term "co-operative education" emphasizes the relationship between the student, the employer and the University of Victoria.

Since the mid-1970's UVic Co-op has grown to become the third largest co-op program in Canada. The goal of the UVic Co-op Program is to produce high-calibre graduates who are better prepared to pursue productive careers.
